1150 Nelson St - Lord Roberts Annex (DP-2026-00056) development application

Vancouver School Board has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop the following on this site:

• A three-storey Elementary School for 510 students, in coordination with the BC Hydro Substation
• A height of 21 m (68.9 ft.)
• A floor area of 4,465 m² / 48,061 sq.ft.)
• New playgrounds, basketball court, sports field and landscaping
• Seven underground parking spaces with a ramp accessed from Bute St
• 26 student bike rack spaces

Under the site’s existing RM-5A zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
