The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on November 6, 2024.
HCMA Architecture + Design has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop a temporary Vancouver Fire Hall No. 9 facility that will provide continued Fire and Rescue services to the catchment area on this site, consisting of:
- A prefabricated single bay truck shelter to house a fire truck, turn out gears and equipment
- A prefabricated single storey structure to be used as temporary office and living quarters to support firefighting crews
- Eight tandem surface parking spaces, with vehicular access from lane
Under the site’s existing MC-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
