An appeal was heard by the Board of Variance on September 24, 2024 and was ALLOWED, thereby overturning the decision of the Director of Planning.  A Development Permit was issued on October 8, 2024.

Kingsway Cannabis has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to change the use from Retail (Vehicle Rental Agency) to Cannabis Retail Store at the above-noted address, consisting of:

  • Relocation from 2140 Kingsway to 2138 Kingsway
  • Approximately 1,252.0 sq. ft.
  • Proposed hours of operation: 9 am to 11 pm, 7 days a week

Under the site’s existing C-2 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
