2141 E Hastings St (DP-2021-00817) cannabis retail development application

An appeal was heard by the Board of Variance on January 11, 2022 and was ALLOWED, thereby overturning the decision of the Director of Planning.  A Development Permit was issued on February 2, 2022.


The Village Collaborative Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform interior alterations, consolidate units 2137 + 2139 and change of use from Health and Beauty to Retail Cannabis Store on this site, including:

  • Store name will be Village Bloomery
  • A floor area of approximately 1,003.75 sq. ft.
  • Operating hours of:
    • 7 days a week 10am – 10pm

Under the site’s existing C-2C1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
