2172 Kingsway (DP-2021-00254) cannabis retail development application

The Director of Planning has requested you be advised that this application was considered on July 29, 2021, and was refused. 

It should be noted, however, that the applicant has the right to appeal this decision of refusal to the Board of Variance in accordance with the provisions of the Vancouver Charter.


1294921 BC Ltd. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission for interior alterations and to change the use, at the above-noted address, to a Retail Cannabis Store consisting of:

  • Approximately 2,487.0 square feet
  • Proposed operating hours: 10 am - 11 pm, seven (7) days a week

Under the site’s existing C-2 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
