The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on August 27, 2024.


VFA Architecture + Design Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform addition/ alteration to the existing Single Detached House and to add a Secondary Suite for a total of three dwelling units on site (Laneway House is being processed outright under DB-2022-005622) consisting of:

  • A proposed height of approximately 26 ft./7.9 m for the principal building
  • A proposed Floor Space Ratio of 0.73 for the principal building (approximately 2,950 sq.ft./275 m²)
  • One surface parking space having access from the lane

Under the site’s existing RT-5 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
