The Director of Planning has requested you be advised that this development permit expired on October 31, 2024.

Backyard Marketplace Ltd., has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to extend the change of use of the vacant lot as a “similar to” Farmer’s Market, to operate until December 31, 2025, at the above-noted address, consisting of:

• Up to 20 retail vendors (tables with umbrellas), one storage container, two portable water closets, one tent, public seating, live music, beer garden and two food trucks
• Proposed hours of operation:
  • Beer garden: Thursday to Sunday, 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm
  • Retail vendors: Setup and marketplace: Saturday and Sundays 11:00 am to 9:30 pm
  • Live music: Thursday to Sunday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Under the site’s existing RM-4 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted, however it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
