The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on September 11, 2024.


Birmingham & Wood Architects and Planners has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop the following on this site:

  • To perform interior and exterior alterations to this existing Heritage B one-family dwelling with a secondary suite (Building 1) consisting of:
    • A total height of approximately 36.9 ft.
    • A total Floor Space Ratio of 1.13 (approximately 3,460 sq. ft.)
  • To develop an infill one-family dwelling (Building 2) in the rear portion of this site consisting of:
    • A total height of approximately 27.8 ft.
    • A total Floor Space Ratio of 0.38 (approximately 1,160 sq. ft.)
  • Two parking spaces provided having vehicular access from the lane

Under the site’s existing RT-3 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
