An appeal was heard by the Board of Variance on May 21, 2024 and was ALLOWED, thereby overturning the decision of the Director of Planning.  A Development Permit was issued on June 13, 2024.


Eastside Cannabis applied to the City of Vancouver for permission for interior alterations and change of use from Retail to Cannabis Store and expansion into the adjacent existing Cannabis retail store, in this existing mixed use building, consisting of:

  • A floor area of approximately 535 sq. ft.
  • Hours of operation: 9 am to 11 pm, seven (7) days a week

Under the site’s existing DEOD zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
