The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on April 26, 2024.


B Squared Architecture Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to keep existing Character single detached house (Building 1) containing one dwelling unit and, to alter, add to and convert the existing accessory building to an infill single detached house (Building 2), consisting of:

  • Proposed total Floor Space Ratio of 0.56 (approximately 5,580 sq. ft.) for the site
  • Proposed height of approximately 24.2 ft. for Building 2
  • Two parking spaces, having vehicular access from West 41st Avenue

Under the site’s existing RS-5 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
