The City of Vancouver has received an application to rezone the subject site from DD (Downtown) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District. The proposal is to allow for the development of a 12-storey residential rental building and includes:
88 units;
A floor space ratio (FSR) of 9.3;
A building height of 35.8 m (117 ft.) with additional height for rooftop amenity space; and
Heritage façade retention of the 1914 Western Canada Building.
This application is being considered under the Downtown Eastside Plan. The application requests consideration of height in excess of the existing policy.
