The Director of Planning approved the application on May 19, 2026, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


The City of Vancouver has received a request for permission to develop on this site consisting of:

  • A change of use from existing Retail Store to a Child Care Facility for a maximum of 20 children
  • A total proposed floor area for approximately 1,400 sq. ft.
  • Hours of operation:
    • Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Under the site’s existing C-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
