438 Richards St (DP-2022-00016) cannabis retail development application

An appeal was heard by the Board of Variance on May 17, 2022 and was ALLOWED, thereby overturning the decision of the Director of Planning.  A Development Permit was issued on July 12, 2022.


Arcannabis Enterprises (BC) Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform interior alterations and a change of use from Tattoo parlour to Cannabis store on the first floor of this existing mixed use building including:

  • Floor area of approximately 617 sq. ft.
  • Hours of operation: 9 am - 11 pm, seven days a week

Under the site’s existing DD zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
