The Director of Planning approved the application on January 16, 2023, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


Locarno Legacy Corp has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop this site, consisting of:

  • A six-storey mixed-use building comprising 100 secured market rental dwelling units with commercial uses at grade
  • Two levels of underground parking, accessed from the lane

The rezoning application was approved by City Council at Public Hearing on June 14, 2022.

Under the site’s approved CD-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
