The Director of Planning has requested you be advised that this application was considered on September 20, 2023, and was refused.  It should be noted, however, that the applicant has the right to appeal this decision of refusal to the Board of Variance in accordance with the provisions of the Vancouver Charter.


The City of Vancouver has received a request for permission to develop this site, consisting of:

  • Exterior alterations to provide improvements to this existing single detached house on this site
  • Scope of work includes building a steel platform supported by steel posts, including steel stairs to access the rear of the site, along the East side of this existing inside with lane site

Under the site’s existing RS-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
