The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on December 10, 2024.

Fraserhood Child Care Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform interior alterations and a change of use from a Single Detached House with a Secondary Suite to a commercial use for a Child Day Care Facility for 16 children, consisting of:

• A floor area of approximately 2,720.0 sq. ft.
• Proposed hours of operation:
  • 7:45 am to 5:15 pm for 8 children on the main floor
  • 8:00 am to 5:30 pm for 8 children on the upper floor
  • Monday through Friday

Under the site’s existing R1-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
