The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on December 1, 2023.

Wiedemann Architectural Design has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform additions/alterations to this existing Single Detached House and to develop an Infill Single Detached House (Building 2) at the rear of the site, consisting of:

  • A proposed height of approximately 15.26 ft./ 4.65 m for the Infill Building
  • A proposed Floor Space Ratio of 0.47 for the site (approximately 18,300 sq.ft.)
  • Two vehicle parking spaces, having access from the street

Under the site’s existing RS-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.

Review of design guidelines applicable to one and two family dwellings in this district has been streamlined, as per the Council report of June 8, 2021, as a temporary measure for one year. On June 7, 2022, Council extended the streamlined review process for an additional two years.
