4870 Hudson St (DP-2022-00497) development application

The Director of Planning approved the application on November 10, 2022, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


Formwerks Architectural Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to alter and convert this existing one-family dwelling to a Multiple Conversion Dwelling (Building 1) containing three dwelling units and to develop an infill one-family dwelling (Building 2) at the rear of the site, for a total of four dwelling units, consisting of:

  • A proposed height of approximately:
    • 35.10 ft. (10.7 m) for the Multiple Conversion Dwelling building
    • 26 ft. (7.95 m) for the infill building
  • A proposed Floor Area of approximately:
    • 7,450 sq. ft. (692 m²) for habitable area
    • 920 sq. ft. (85 m²) for the four car parking space
  • Four vehicle parking spaces, having access from the lane

Under the site’s existing RS-5 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
