The Director of Planning approved the application on October 1, 2026, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information please see the Prior-to letter under "application documents".


J+S Architect Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to alter and change the use of the existing retail unit to a new childcare facility for up to 74 children in the existing commercial building on this site, consisting of:

  • Approximately 5,080 sq. ft. of indoor space
  • Approximately 2,625 sq. ft. of outdoor space
  • Proposed hours of operation:
    • Monday to Friday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

Under the site’s existing C2-A zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
