The Director of Planning approved the application on December 18, 2025, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


Smithcraft Architecture has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop on this site:

  • A new two-storey Child Care Facility for a maximum of 52 children for the site
  • A total proposed Floor Space Ratio of 0.60 for the site (approximately 4,500 sq. ft.)
  • Hours of operation:
    • Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Under the site’s existing R1-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
