The Director of Planning has requested you be advised that this application was considered on September 28, 2023, and was refused.  It should be noted, however, that the applicant has the right to appeal this decision of refusal to the Board of Variance in accordance with the provisions of the Vancouver Charter.


Glowbal Restaurant Group has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to install a covered outdoor seating area to be used in conjunction with the existing Italian Kitchen, Restaurant Class-1 use on the site at courtyard, consisting of:

  • A proposed area of approximately 512 sq. ft.
  • Hours of operation: 11:30 am – 12:00 am, 7 days a week

Under the site’s existing DD zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
