The Vancouver Park Board is exploring ways to improve disc golf experiences in city parks. Courses at Queen Elizabeth and Quilchena parks offer year-round recreation for people of all ages and skill levels.

Whether you're an experienced player, new to the sport, or a park visitor, we want to hear from you!

Your feedback will help guide the development of the Disc Golf Plan and the future of disc golf in Vancouver’s parks.

How to get involved:

  • Join the mailing list to receive updates directly to your inbox (sign-up form on the right-hand side of the page).
  • Read through our project information boards (PDF, 11.2 MB).
  • Complete the online survey from September 8 - 29, 2025.
  • Come say hi at Queen Elizabeth Park on Tuesday, September 16 from 5 -7 pm. We’ll be set up at Little Mountain disc golf course near the corner of Ontario St & 33rd Ave.
  • Watch this page for project updates.

Next steps:

Later in 2025 we will share an engagement summary highlighting what we’ve heard. Community input will inform the draft plan, which will include small scale improvements to disc golf courses in parks and potential opportunities for disc golf events or pop ups at Park Board facilities.

  • The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation (Park Board) is developing a Disc Golf Plan to explore improvements to its disc golf courses. Courses in Queen Elizabeth and Quilchena parks were first established in 1983 and 2002. They are beloved spaces for this community-driven sport that provides year-round recreation to a wide range of ages and abilities.

    Disc golf is a rapidly growing sport. Rounds of disc golf have steadily increased throughout Vancouver and BC over the last five years. With increasing population in the city and more people spending time in Vancouver’s parks, we want to ensure that the improvement and development of disc golf courses support the disc golfers and other park users, now and into the future.

    Your feedback will help us understand your experiences at disc golf courses and guide the future of disc golf in Vancouver parks. To learn more about this project, please see our project information boards (PDF, 11.2 MB).

    We want to hear from you about:

    • Your current disc golf experiences in Queen Elizabeth and Quilchena parks;
    • If course features prevent you from playing; and,
    • Your experience of multi-use park spaces shared with disc golf in Queen Elizabeth and Quilchena parks.

    This survey should take from 5 to 10 minutes to complete, and is open until September 29, 2025 at 11:59 p.m
