Final concept plan

The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is planning an exciting renewal of General Brock Park. In the first round of public engagement, we heard from the community on topics including park use, current conditions, and opportunities for improvements. Based on feedback, the final concept plan for the park renewal now features a fenced dog off-leash area (OLA), in addition to the following amenities:

• An inclusive playground for children of different ages and abilities

• Multi-sport court

• Picnic area with overhead structure

• Additional trees, meadow planting, boulders and logs to enhance the natural experience

The addition of a fenced dog OLA is supported by the People, Parks and Dogs strategy and feedback received through public engagement for the park renewal. This part of Renfrew-Collingwood is currently underserved by dog off-leash areas and an OLA at General Brock Park will help to increase access to this much-needed amenity.

The final concept plan will be going to the Park Board for decision in fall. If you have any comments and questions, please email General.Brock.Park.Renewal@vancouver.ca.
