We would like to thank everyone for participating in the recent engagement on the draft Official Development Plan (ODP). Feedback collected identified that members of the public would like more information on what an ODP is and how it will be used in the future. To respond to this, staff will be hosting a virtual information session. More information below:

Date: Monday, February 2, 2026

Time: 12-1PM

Format: Staff will provide a brief presentation and there will be a moderated question and answer session.

Questions can also be submitted at any time to odp@vancouver.ca

About the ODP

In June 2024, we launched a planning process to develop Vancouver’s first city-wide Official Development Plan as required by provincial legislation (Bill 18). Using Vancouver Plan (2022) as the basis for this process, we focused consultation on the outstanding technical and administrative content required for the ODP.

Targeted consultation began in 2024 and opportunity for public review and feedback on the draft ODP took place in October 2025. A summary of consultation is now available (PDF, 7.7 MB).

Next steps

Feedback collected was summarized and used to inform the final version of the Vancouver ODP that will be presented to Council in the coming months. There will be another opportunity to share your comments directly with Council at, or leading up to, the public hearing.
