What is the engagement timeline for Davie Village: space for people?
Read the what we heard report here.In May and June 2023, we heard from 50+ Davie Village businesses about their operational needs. We also heard from nearly 400 visitors to Davie Village via an on-street survey.
Public engagement summary
In early 2023, staff conducted two virtual information sessions. Community members learned about proposed transportation changes, related policies and parking considerations.

Results from this engagement process will be available with the staff report to Council in early 2024.
Why are we doing this work now?
In July 2022, Council passed the Historical Discrimination against People of South Asian Canadian Descent (HDSA) interim report, which included feedback from early engagement.
Council Approval
Since its original approval in 2022, updates have been driven by new provincial Transit-Oriented Area (TOA) legislation, insights from early implementation, industry input, and feedback from public consultations.
