Why is it called an Official Development Plan and not
The terminology in the Vancouver Charter is determined by the provincial government, not the City of Vancouver. “Official Community Plan" is the term used in the Local Government Act, which applies to other municipalities in BC outside of Vancouver. The legislation for the Vancouver ODP and Official Community Plans in other municipalities is similar, and these city-wide statutory plans will serve the same purpose within their respective municipalities.
