Recommended updates

Staff are sharing recommended updates ahead of the upcoming report to Council. These updates respond to additional technical work by staff and include minor changes from the proposed updates shared in spring 2025. The recommended updates are consistent with how other public views are protected across the city and continue to seek a balancing housings needs with preserving public views.

Next steps

The report to Council will be shared online before being presented for consideration in early February 2026. Information on how to provide input to Council will be shared ahead of the meeting.
