The City of Vancouver has received an application to rezone the subject site from I-1A (industrial) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District to allow for Bulk Data Storage use within an existing commercial building. No changing to mass is proposed. This application includes:

  • Converting existing below grade parking to Bulk Data Storage related uses (mechanical, electrical, garbage/recycling);
  • Adding a restaurant space at ground level; and
  • Removing all parking requirements for the development.

This application is being considered under the Broadway plan.

Application drawings and statistics are posted as-submitted to the City. Following staff review, the final project statistics are documented within the referral report.

UPDATE: This item has been pulled from the public hearing agenda for July 23rd and will not be going forward at this time. Staff have been directed by Council to undertake further public consultation and the site sign and Shape Your City webpage will be updated with further information about that engagement.

Please note: staff will not be beginning engagement until after the election
