City of Vancouver 2026 Budget
Each year, City staff create an annual budget for City Council to consider. The budget outlines City spending across key service areas such as public safety, transportation, infrastructure, parks and recreation and more. Provincial law requires the City not to spend more money than it brings in each year.
We want to know your priorities for City spending. We also want your preferences for how to balance the budget while maintaining core services and programs.
How to get involved:
- Learn more about the City’s budget and how it’s created (PDF, 239 KB)
- Complete the survey by the end of the day on Sunday, September 14
- Contact Mayor and Council directly to provide feedback
- Speak at the City Council meeting on the 2026 Budget in December - more details to come
- Share these opportunities with your networks
You can also complete the survey on the phone by calling 311.
Next steps:
Your feedback will be combined into a public report. It will be shared with Council as part of their 2026 Budget discussions later in 2025.
