Each year, City staff create an annual budget for City Council to consider. The budget outlines City spending across key service areas such as public safety, transportation, infrastructure, parks and recreation and more. Provincial law requires the City not to spend more money than it brings in each year.

Between August 12 and September 14, 2025, staff shared information and gathered public input about the City's 2026 budget.
