Each year, City staff create an annual budget for City Council to consider. The budget outlines City spending across key service areas such as public safety, transportation, infrastructure, parks and recreation and more. Provincial law requires the City not to spend more money than it brings in each year.

We want to know your priorities for City spending. We also want your preferences for how to balance the budget while maintaining core services and programs.

How to get involved:

Your feedback will be combined into a public report. It will be shared with Council as part of their 2026 Budget discussions later in 2025.

    If you live in Vancouver or operate a business in the city, we want your feedback on priorities for the 2026 budget, the City’s annual plan for funding and delivering services across Vancouver. 

    As the City works to manage rising costs while limiting property tax increases, we want to know your preferences for City spending and delivering a balanced budget. 

    Complete our 2026 Budget survey by the end of the day on September 14, 2025. You can also complete the survey on the phone by calling 311.
