The City of Vancouver has received an application to amend the CD-1 (519) (Comprehensive Development) District By-law Section 4 to increase the maximum permitted slot machines from 600 to 900. The proposal contains no changes to the form of development. The application is being considered under the existing CD-1 (519) District By-Law and the BC Gaming Control Act.

Please note that in addition to the consultation process provided on Shape your City, additional processes may apply pursuant to the Gaming Control Act, including with other municipalities, and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil‑Waututh) Nations in accordance with the Gaming Control Act.

Application materials are posted as-submitted to the City. Following staff review, the final project statistics are documented within the referral report.

The opportunity to ask questions through the Q&A is available from September 24 to October 7, 2025.
