Consultation has concluded
The Vancouver Park Board is currently in the planning stage for the renewal of Collingwood Park. Many of the features in the park are nearing the end of their lifespan and will need to be replaced or improved as part of the renewal. Potential features to be upgraded or replaced include the playground, sports court, wading pool, washrooms, paths, seating, and plantings.
What's happening?
A concept design for the park was developed based on community feedback gathered during a first round of consultation in May 2022. This report summarizes the feedback we received on the proposed concept during the second round of engagement in November/December 2022. Please see the Phase 2 Engagement Boards for the concept design and more information.
The Board approved the revised concept on March 27th 2023. We are now developing construction drawings based on the approved concept. When these drawings are complete we will be asking contractors to bid on constructing the project. Work is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2024.
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation acknowledges, with respect, that our parks are located on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.

The proposed concept plan and program is based on the ideas and feedback received from the public consultation in May 2022, in which over 600 people contributed through an online survey and pop-up in the park.
We are asking for your feedback on this concept plan for the Collingwood Park Renewal before it is presented to the Park Board Commissioners for approval.
After reviewing the presentation boards for the concept plan, please provide your feedback through the survey. Survey is open to the public November 21 - December 19, 2022.
The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Before starting, please ensure that you are using an updated version of your browser (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari). If you encounter any problems and are able to take a screenshot or video of the issue, please email collingwood.renewal@vancouver.ca(External link).
