The City’s framework was approved by Council in February 2025 and identifies older persons as those 55 years of age and older. It includes six goals for improving the lives of older persons in Vancouver. The goals are that older persons in Vancouver...
Are engaged and included
Are connected and informed
Live in a home that supports aging in the right place
Can get around with dignity
Have access to spaces and places that meet their needs
Are supported by programs and services that enable health and wellbeing
Each goal has more specific objectives and actions that go along with them. Early actions for 2025 are already underway to enhance the lives of older persons in Vancouver.
The City is now planning for future actions and wants your input! Share your thoughts on the best ways to improve the lives of older persons in Vancouver.
