2025 Fall-Winter Engagement Summary

In fall–winter 2025, we invited the public to learn about the Railtown planning process and share how they use the area, as well as the challenges and opportunities they see. This input will help us understand community priorities as we develop the Railtown Area Plan. We gathered feedback through three main activities:

Meetings with Interested Partners

We held 20 one on one meetings with representatives from not for profit organizations, service providers, local businesses, Business Improvement Areas, and public agencies.

Community Outreach Events

Two pop‑up engagement events were held at the Carnegie Community Centre and the Evelyn Saller Centre where staff spoke with more than 100 community members.

Online Survey

An online survey was available on the Shape Your City platform from November 12 to December 3, 2025. The survey link was shared by email with community partners, on posters, and on the City’s social media channels. The survey was completed by 575 participants.
