Input on Groundwater Protection Area Requirements: Feedback Requested from Builders, Developers and Design Professionals by October 20, 2025.

To protect groundwater flows to Still Creek, the Plan anticipates a Groundwater Protection Area. Development within that area will be subject to requirements including setback requirements, building depth limitations and design obligations for building assemblies and drainage systems.

The new requirements will be implemented by bylaw. Draft bylaw wording has now been developed by the City and can be found in this letter. To provide feedback, please submit any comments by Monday, October 20, 2025 to rupertrenfrewplan@vancouver.ca. Your comments may be used to refine the proposed by-law wording before being presented to City Council for review and approval.
