East Park Temporary Pollinator Meadow north view (Fall 2020)
previous next
This temporary wildflower pollinator meadow with seating areas and walkways has been installed to provide ecological enhancements while we begin the visioning process for the larger park. The meadow will help to meet a growing need for green space and access to nature. Naturalized areas benefit plants, animals, insects, and people, as well as help to reduce emissions by decreasing maintenance requirements. This species-rich meadow is attracting a variety of beneficial insects, pollinators, butterflies, birds and bees while creating habitat, beauty, and seasonal interest for all to enjoy.
